Last night there was a forest fire in the National Park of Nuuksio. I was visiting my parents who are not that far away from the park, so it was interesting to make a quick visit there. When I arrived there, the sight was quite surreal, not that much fire anywhere, just smoke rising from the ground.  Fires were mostly small ones.  But when firemen were needed, it didn't take long for them to use the hose..  A nearby lake was used as a water source.  When the wind got stronger, so did fire.  Fighting fire takes its toll.   About a week ago we recorded demo versions of four brand new songs. We're doing only a handful of shows during the summer, so it's nice for a change to have the time to make new material for our upcoming album. |
