Kalenteri 2010 02 Nov 2009 Posted by Samuli Ikäheimo.
kalenteri

Calendar 2010. Or just 2010. That's the name of my class' photo calendar/book. We started planning it about a year ago. We wanted to make a simple useable calendar in which the photos would still be the main thing.
We also chose a theme, "lähelläsi", "close to you", and remembered it while taking the photos. The theme was also in mind with the languages; finnish, swedish and russian, all are spoken here in Finland and in our neigbouring countries.

The price is 25 euros. Quite much for a calendar, but not that much for a 160 page photo book. Think about buying it, maybe for yourself or maybe as a present for someone you care. Or maybe both. I'd appreciate it.

Squat demonstration 23 Oct 2009 Posted by Samuli Ikäheimo.
Last Saturday was the international day for eradication of poverty. In Finland there were events about homelessness in many cities. Also a demonstration of 300 people was held in Helsinki. After that people squatted an office building owned by Telia-Sonera, it had been empty since 2007.

The whole set can be seen as an audio slideshow in Suomen Kuvalehti's website.
